It’s now easier than ever for you to register to vote in Kentucky.
Thanks to GoVoteKy.com, you can use your phone or computer. Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes unveiled the new system in March. Before, you had register by mail or in person using voter registration cards.
To register, all you have to do is enter your name, Social Security number and birth date. You can sign the registration digitally. Your information will be sent to your county clerk’s office, which will process and approve each update or new registration and then send you a confirmation.
Kentucky joins 30 other states with online voter registration. The deadline is April 18 to be eligible to vote in this May’s primary elections.
