There are three new faces in the House. We welcome Rep. Lew Nicholls, Rep. Jeff Taylor and Rep. Chuck Tackett, who were part of the landslide victory in the Special Elections on March 8, despite all of the Washington-based super PAC money that helped fund the Republican campaigns.
When asked about their first priority, all three answered the same: “The budget.” Their victories sent a clear message that Kentuckians all across the Commonwealth are against Gov. Bevin’s attempts to cripple education and healthcare.
“I was proud to be officially sworn in as state representative for the 98th District,” said Rep. Nicholls. “There’s a lot of work to be done.”
“Thank you Christian and Trigg counties,” said Rep. Taylor. “This is your victory! I am honored to be your next State Representative in House District 8.”
“I am humbled and honored,” said Rep. Tackett. “I want to thank the voters who have entrusted me with an awesome responsibility. I will work hard to end the partisan bickering in Frankfort and put our families and communities first by addressing the tough challenges we face.”
